Mandatory EV training for career and volunteer firefighters.

House Bill 2451 directed the department of Fire Programs to create an E.V. training program that would be available by July 1, 2024, and must be completed by December 1, 2025. This has been codified in Code of Virginia § 27-23.11. Firefighter electric vehicles fire training.

It's not clear what happens if it is not completed. Here is a news article about it.

To complete the training:

1. Log into CSOD

   VDFP ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND LITHIUM-ION BATTERY FIRE
   SAFETY AWARENESS

3. Click register, and take the course.
